CLAT stands for the Common Law Admissions Test, an All-India entrance examination administered by the National Law Universities (NLUs). It serves as the gateway for students seeking admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs in law. At the UG level, programs are commonly referred to as BA LLB/BBA LLB, while at the PG level, it is known as LL.M. The responsibility of conducting the CLAT exam rotates among the 24 National Law Universities, with precedence given to those with seniority of establishment.

For the UG level CLAT Exam, there isn’t an official upper age limit set.
To be eligible for the exam, candidates must achieve a minimum percentage in their 12th Board Examinations. The required percentage differs based on the category of the candidates:
– Candidates in the OBC/Unreserved or Specially Abled Person (SAP) categories must secure a minimum of 45%.
– Candidates categorized as SC/ST must secure a minimum of 40% in their 10+2 examinations.
